What is a Psychologist?

My name is Dr. Geraldine Merola Barton. I am a licensed psychologist practicing in New York and Texas.

Important Note:  Due to COVID-19, Dr. Barton will be conducting sessions exclusively by videoconference.  Please phone 210-722-9428 to inquire about scheduling a session.

I provide in-person and virtual psychotherapy and counseling for a wide variety of issues, including couples therapy (relationship counseling), depression, anxiety, stress, eating disorders, grief, trauma, and phase of life issues.

I normally see patients at my San Antonio office for in-person psychotherapy and counseling services or by teleconference, available to residents of Texas and New York.

To schedule an initial appointment, phone 210-722-9428.  Please do not email requests for an initial appointment.

To speak with me about matters other than a first appointment, phone 210-722-9428 or email drgmbarton@drgmbarton.com.

On this website, you'll find articles by me, along with information on topics in psychology. I welcome your comments and questions.
